What a fantastic wedding weekend in the high mountains in Telemark, Norway with laughter and joy all the way through. Tze Ying is from Singapore and she met Gunnar while studying in Australia. They were initially supposed to have an outdoor ceremony on the lawn in front of the hotel overlooking the lake, but since this is Norway it quickly got moved indoors because of the weather (just like almost every outdoor ceremonies this year). The hotel staff and officiant were easy going and efficient and mastered the switch pretty easy and in no time all the guests were standing on the entrance stairway ready for the ceremony!
We took some photos up towards Gautsatoppen and down by the lake. Just before dinner they changed into a traditional Chinese dress and a traditional Telemark bunad just to stir things up :) Speaking of the dinner: I'm not a dessert person but when it consists of bitter salted chocolate in a pastry cup with a barley ice cream served with the hotels own home brewed stout... in those situations I'm a YES man!
Tze Ying's father owns a durian plantation back home in Singapore and guess what he brought in a vakuum sealed bag (if you only knew how much this thing smells...)? Make sure to catch the video at the end of the blog post!
Thank you for having me with you on your special wedding weekend at Tuddal Høyfjellshotel guys <3
Oh, if you're wondering why they are lighting the wood burner in the bridal suite the Singaporeans were freezing in the 20°C temperatures in Norway (I was sweating like a dog).
